Experiential Designer
VisitLEX reimagines the traditional visitor center as an immersive storytelling hub—welcoming visitors into the heart of Lexington while reflecting the city’s identity: rooted in tradition, shaped by innovation. Located in a renovated historic building downtown, the space was designed as an open, flexible environment where visitors could relax, recharge, and connect with the city through layered narratives, artifacts, and media.

I was the lead interactive designer, responsible for shaping the visitor journey across all digital touchpoints. In close collaboration with architects, curators, and media teams, I helped craft a cohesive spatial narrative that wove together interpretive graphics, modular displays, and integrated technology to engage a younger, more diverse audience.
A core focus of the project was developing a digital engagement strategy that felt seamlessly embedded within the physical environment. I identified key moments where interactive media could deepen exploration, spark curiosity, and invite participation. These included a touch-based experience offering fun local facts, a nine-screen media wall capturing Lexington’s energy and culture, and a customizable digital postcard station that allowed visitors to share their journey. Each activation was designed to be intuitive, meaningful, and connected to the broader visitor flow.
The overall space was conceived as a flexible, evolving system—modular, welcoming, and rooted in hospitality. From layout to content to visual identity, every element worked in concert to offer a sense of place and possibility. A detailed case study is available upon request.
