Causal Foundry, an AI health-tech startup backed by Google and The Gates Foundation, sought a cohesive brand identity to reflect its mission of making causal inference AI accessible to global healthcare partners. The challenge was to craft a brand system that conveyed trust, clarity, and innovation, while remaining approachable for a diverse audience—including researchers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers.

As Design Director, I led the development of a visual and verbal identity, ensuring that the brand aligned with the company’s mission while maintaining usability, scalability, and credibility across all touchpoints.

To help Causal Foundry communicate complex AI-driven healthcare solutions, I developed a brand system centered on clarity, credibility, and accessibility. Through stakeholder research, I uncovered how different audiences perceived AI in healthcare and used those insights to shape the visual identity, brand messaging, and design guidelines. The result was a modern, human-centered brand that balances technological innovation with trust and usability.

The visual system features clean typography, an approachable color palette, and iconography designed to convey precision and reliability across both digital and physical touchpoints. I created a scalable design system and comprehensive guidelines to ensure consistency across marketing, internal communications, and digital interfaces.

This work extended into website design and mobile optimization, positioning the site as both an educational hub and a trusted entry point for partners and researchers. A responsive, intuitive layout supports global access and reinforces trust through thoughtful UX.
